The story of Aurum

The idea for Aurum was born on the slopes of Mount Teide in Tenerife. The founders often trained there together during their pro careers, and it was there that they first talked about designing their dream bike. Together, they brought more than thirty years of professional racing experience. After their careers, they made that idea a reality, with their own brand and a headquarters in Pinto, near Madrid.

The founders set the brand's style and help shape the geometry and specifications of every frame. Design and engineering are in the hands of a team of experienced bike industry specialists. That combination of real-world racing experience and technical expertise is the foundation of every Aurum. The name comes from Latin and means gold.

From prototype to Giro winner

From the start, Aurum was built for racing at the highest level. In 2021, Aurum became the official bike of its own pro team, which grew out of the youth and under-23 teams of one of the founders' foundation. Since then, the team has lined up at the Giro d'Italia every year. Its riders have taken two stage wins there on an Aurum Magma.

For Aurum, the team is more than a showcase. The riders test every new development in the toughest conditions, and their feedback goes straight back to the design team. That keeps the Magma in particular evolving. All Aurum models are also UCI approved, so you can race them in any official event.

The Aurum models

The Aurum Magma is Aurum's first model and still its flagship. It is a light, stiff road bike with pronounced race geometry, made to climb fast and sprint fast. The second generation arrived in 2024. It is more aerodynamic and more cleanly integrated, without the Magma losing its climbing qualities.

The Aurum Essentia shares the geometry and handling of the Magma. Its name is Latin for essence, and that is exactly what the Essentia is: the core of Aurum, in a slightly more accessible version. A true race bike for riders looking for the character of the Magma.

The Aurum Manto is Aurum's gravel bike. Here too, speed comes first. The Manto is built for gravel racing and fast rides off the tarmac, with the same attention to handling as the brand's road bikes.
