OPEN WIDE 2.0
OPEN WI.DE. 2.0 – For when the terrain gets too rough for regular gravel
Where the U.P. 2.0 and U.P.PER. 2.0 set the standard for all-round gravel, OPEN takes things a step further with the WI.DE. 2.0. This bike is built for the moment your gravel bike runs out of room: mud, loose rock, roots, long stretches of unpaved terrain. With tyre clearance up to 66mm, the WI.DE. 2.0 is the fastest choice for the roughest gravel out there.
While the U.P.|U.P.PER. is the perfect bike for fast rides and races across varied terrain, the WI.DE. 2.0 is developed for those who consistently seek out the toughest ground: multi-day bikepacking adventures, gravel races with a serious amount of singletrack, or simply a region where "gravel" quickly becomes synonymous with "rubble".
Built for the toughest terrain
The WI.DE. 2.0 is engineered to remain the fastest choice even when the terrain gets beyond terrible. From multi-day bikepacking trips to demanding off-road races: the combination of aerodynamics, control and tyre clearance up to 66mm keeps you gripped and comfortable exactly where other gravel bikes fall short.
The geometry is agile and lively, just as you'd expect from OPEN, even with these wide tyres underneath you. Every frame size has its own geometry and tube shapes, so that signature OPEN handling holds up across the entire size range.
- Optimised for 50–66mm tyres, with 55–66mm recommended for the best balance of aero and rolling resistance
- Minimum 28mm internal rim width recommended
- Developed for demanding races, bikepacking and the roughest off-road riding
- Only available with the new U-Turn AC/DC+ fork and the adjustable OPEN BAR system

Aero where it matters, comfort where you need it
As with the rest of the range, aerodynamics on the WI.DE. 2.0 focus on the areas where it counts: the headtube, fork, cockpit and down tube, where airflow is still relatively clean. But aero without comfort is pointless if you can't hold that position for a long day in the saddle.
Further back on the frame, comfort always takes priority over aero. The seat tube, chainstay and seatstay shapes are built for the comfort OPEN is known for, while the notably slim seatstays keep the frontal area small.
OPEN B.A.R. and the U-Turn AC/DC+ fork
The WI.DE. 2.0 features the same patented OPEN B.A.R. system: stem length adjusts in 5mm steps across a 15mm range, twice as precise as a standard setup, without ever having to swap the stem. With 10 different cockpit sizes, there's always a B.A.R. to fit you.
New is the U-Turn AC/DC+ fork (Aero-Cargo-Double-Combo): a fully aero profile for fast rides and races, combined with integrated cargo options for long adventures. Strap bags directly to the fork legs with no weight penalty, or fit a standard cargo or bottle cage.
Design is in the details
- Double-drop chainstays: for maximum tyre clearance and a stiff box structure behind the bottom bracket
- Deep section headtube: better aerodynamics plus increased torsional stiffness for confident handling
- Internal storage: 2 internal frame bags for tools and emergency kit, secured with a Fidlock latch
- Broadshoulder dropouts: 50 to 100% wider than standard, for quick and hassle-free wheel changes
- Smartmount 160: brake calipers mounted directly to frame/fork without an adaptor, for the stiffest, safest setup possible
- T47 bottom bracket: fits any crank axle (30mm, SRAM DUB, Shimano, 24mm) thanks to the wide 85.5mm BB shell
- 27.2mm round seatpost: light, compliant and compatible with many dropper and/or suspension seatposts
- Extra rivnut for long top tube bags, alongside the standard mounts near the stem
- UDH compatible: pairs with any standard drivetrain via a UDH hanger, or directly with SRAM Transmission
- Rotoblock fender mounts: thread directly into the frame, eliminating rattling or rotating mounts
