At Bikesuperior, you'll find quality gravel bikes with character. Bikes that let you go from tarmac to dirt without compromising on comfort or control. We focus on quality and only ride with brands we trust ourselves. No mass-produced standard bikes, but models with character, often customizable. Is your ideal setup not among them? Then we will be happy to help you find a solution that suits your needs. Whether you are just starting out or have been riding for years: we will make sure you are comfortable.
A gravel bike is a versatile sports bike designed for both asphalt and dirt tracks. It resembles a road bike due to its racing handlebars and efficient geometry, but is more robustly built. Thanks to wider profiled tyres, lighter gears and stable handling, it also handles well on gravel roads, dirt roads and light trails. The seating position is a bit more comfortable than on a road bike, allowing for longer rides in a relaxed manner. Gravel bikes are also often equipped with extra attachment points for bags, water bottles or mudguards, making them popular for bikepacking and adventure tours. Ideal for those who seek freedom and don't want to choose between road speed and adventure off-road.
When you ride a bike made to move around easily on multiple terrains, you can connect multiple routes yourself. In doing so, you easily combine the hard road with dirt roads, forest paths, trails, gravel paths, side roads and bridleways. Buying a gravel bike therefore ensures that you are not tied to one type of terrain and are free to go wherever you want.
Not every gravel bike is the same. Where one is designed for speed on paved roads with a slightly sportier riding position, another is built for comfort and control on rougher terrain. Think of differences in tyre width, geometry, weight and mounting points for bags or mudguards. Some models are more like a road bike, while others tend towards a light mountain bike. What is the right choice for you depends on how and where you like to ride: fast over gravel tracks, quiet touring through the woods, or everything in between. Would you like advice on this? We are happy to think along with you. Feel free to drop by the shop or contact us for personal advice.
Gravel bikes are available in various frame materials, each with their own characteristics and riding feel. Aluminium is common and popular for its combination of sturdiness, relatively low weight and affordability. A great choice for those looking for a robust, low-maintenance gravel bike. Carbon is lighter and absorbs vibrations better, providing more comfort on long rides over dirt tracks. It is often the choice of sportier or fanatical riders who value weight and performance. There are also titanium gravel bikes, such as those from the J.Guillem brand. Titanium is extremely durable, rust-free and offers a unique blend of comfort and rigidity.
At BikeSuperior you will find a carefully curated selection of top gravel bike and frame brands. We only work with brands we fully support ourselves, from innovative lightweight frames to high-quality custom builds. Our exclusive range consists of the best brands such as 3T, Factor, J.Guillem, Pinarello, Factor, ENVE, OPEN. Since recently, we also offer the special custom build bikes from Mosaic, Allied Cycles & Argonaut. Brands that are just a bit different from the rest, and known for their quality and finish.
