Allied's Flip-Chip system
The flip-chip system on the Allied Echo Allroad bike is a feature that allows riders to make adjustments to the geometry of the bike, providing versatility for different riding conditions. The flip-chips are small components, one located at the rear dropout of the frame and one located at the fork. It has two positions: one for road riding and one for gravel riding. When the flip-chips are in gravel riding (high) position, the bike can fit up to 40mm gravel tires, has a longer wheel-base, a raked fork and a higher bottom bracket. Want to race on the road? Flip the chips and change the geometry to racing bike easily.
