The Pinarello New Dogma X is a performance endurance road bike for riders who want to cover long distances without losing the direct and responsive character associated with the Dogma name. It is designed for demanding training rides, gran fondos, long days in the mountains and fast road rides where comfort and control become increasingly important after several hours in the saddle.
This is not a relaxed touring bike built solely around comfort. The New Dogma X remains a high-performance road bike with efficient power transfer, aerodynamic tube shapes and precise handling. Its defining quality is the way it combines speed with greater composure on rough roads and enough tyre clearance to suit a wider range of surfaces.
The frame is constructed using TorayCa M40X carbon. Pinarello uses this fibre and a revised carbon lay-up to combine low weight, high tensile strength and carefully controlled stiffness. The aim is to produce an immediate response when accelerating or climbing out of the saddle while retaining the qualities required for long and demanding rides.
A new, narrower and tapered down tube has been developed to improve aerodynamic performance and lateral stiffness. At the front, Pinarello uses an elliptical steering tube with integrated cable routing. Its reduced width and increased depth are intended to improve airflow while adding torsional stiffness around the head tube, fork and cockpit.
The distinctive X Stays have been further refined for this generation. X Stays 2.0 use a lower attachment point and revised geometry for the twin-seatstay structure. Four connection points help distribute vibrations through the rear of the frame, while the lower linkage is designed to reduce unwanted rebound from repeated road impacts.
This construction is not a suspension system. It is an integrated part of the carbon frame, developed to preserve the direct response of a fast road bike while adding greater control over cobbles, broken tarmac and long descents. The result is aimed at riders who value speed but do not want every imperfection in the road transmitted directly through the bike.

The New Dogma X uses Pinarello’s integrated Talon Ultra Fast cockpit. This latest version has been developed to be lighter and more aerodynamic than its predecessor. Its naturally twisted shape supports a modern brake-lever position and helps the rider adopt a compact aerodynamic posture while maintaining secure control of the handlebar.
Cables are routed internally through the front of the bike, creating a clean finish and reducing disruption to the airflow around the cockpit. Correct sizing remains essential. Handlebar width, stem length and cockpit height should be determined before the bike is assembled, as substantial changes are less straightforward with an integrated system than with separate bars and stem.
The frame provides clearance for tyres up to 35 mm wide. This allows the New Dogma X to be set up for smooth, fast roads or for longer rides across mixed and imperfect tarmac. A wider tubeless tyre can be run at a lower pressure to improve grip, comfort and control without removing the responsive character expected from a performance road bike.
Actual tyre width depends on more than the measurement printed on the sidewall. Internal rim width and the specific tyre-and-rim combination can noticeably change the fitted width. The measured tyre and the available clearance around the frame and fork should therefore always be checked. Depending on road surface, rider weight and preferred handling, approximately 28 to 35 mm will suit many riders.
Pinarello presents the New Dogma X as a complete bike with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2, SRAM RED eTap AXS and Campagnolo Super Record 13. These options provide different shifting ergonomics, gear ranges and control systems. Every version currently shown by Pinarello uses disc brakes, making them well suited to long descents and changing weather conditions.
The official colour schemes are Etna Lucente, Jade Eclipse, Moonlight Frost and Aqua Veil. The configurations and colours offered through BikeSuperior may depend on frame size, selected build and current availability. Groupset and wheel choice should be considered alongside cockpit dimensions, crank length, cassette range and the intended tyre setup.
The Pinarello New Dogma X suits experienced road riders who want to ride quickly but still expect the bike to feel composed after several hours. It is at home on long climbs, technical descents, gran fondos and fast group rides. A more uncompromising competition bike may be preferable for short circuit racing, while the New Dogma X offers greater versatility for long days and varied road conditions.
Correct frame sizing and positioning are essential. Although the New Dogma X is designed for endurance riding, it remains a performance-focused road bike rather than a relaxed touring model. Reach, handlebar height, saddle position and cockpit dimensions should be matched to the rider’s proportions, mobility and goals. This allows the frame’s speed, stability and added comfort to work as intended.
